New “Digital Archaeology Lab” created

June 30, 2018

The department’s old “GIS & Spatial Visualizations Lab” was completely cleared out to create our new ”Digital Archaeology Laboratory” from scratch! Four new custom-built workstations will give faculty, students, and other researchers the processing power needed for computationally intensive applications, from agent-based modeling to photogrammetry of drone imagery. We eventually hope to expand into even more applications of information technology, digital media, and computer-based analytical methods, from 3D scanning and printing to augmented reality.
